New Laptop AutoPilot Setup
Welcome to Frontier Energy! If you have received these instructions, you have received or will soon receive your Frontier Energy-issued computer. Frontier uses Windows Autopilot to enroll new users. Follow the step-by-step directions below to complete the setup.
Start your computer and follow the instructions in the wizard. Select the options shown below for region and keyboard layout.
You can skip this option.
For initial setup, an ethernet connection is preferred. If unavailable, connect to a secure wireless network.
The system will undergo setup for a few minutes.
Agree to the Windows 10 license agreement
If your name is not on the welcome screen, enter your username, along with the initial password provided.
Enter a mobile phone number (capable of receiving texts).
Enter the verification code texted to you to continue.
Accept the Terms
Allow it to run through the setup process; account setup may take some time (1-2hrs).
During the Autopilot process if you face the below error, click “Continue Anyway”
Toggle off these settings, except ‘Find my device’. If you would like to have directions and weather updates based on your location, you can leave the ‘Location’ option on ‘Yes’ as well.
A little more setup time.
Set up your PIN (depending on your machine, fingerprint or facial recognition may be options)
Set up a pin for the device, which can be used for device login.
Initial setup complete!

You need to check for updates and let them run at a time when restarts won’t interrupt your work – before heading to lunch or at the end of the day work well!
Next, activate Lenovo Commercial Vantage, so critical firmware and drivers can be installed automatically.
The default Dashboard allows you to check for system updates manually.
Ensure the auto update settings for critical and recommended updates are both activated.
Once Logged into the Desktop, you can use the Company Portal to find software to install on your new computer. Note - standard Frontier Energy applications are installed automatically.
If you need software not offered on the Company Portal, use the Request Software form. Please allow 5 business days for the software to appear.
